L&D Painting Inc is a painting contractor based in Malden, MA. We work for homeowners across Greater Boston — interiors, exteriors, cabinetry and millwork.
How we work
The work we are proudest of is the work you cannot photograph: the seam that was taped instead of filled, the cabinet door that was degreased before it was primed, the floor that was covered before anyone opened a can.
Most of our jobs are in houses people are living in. That changes what a good job means. It is not only whether the colour is right — it is whether the furniture came back where it was, whether the dust was contained, and whether you could use the room that evening.
We stay small on purpose. The people who look at your house are the people who paint it, and the person who wrote your estimate is on site while the work is being done.
If something is not right at the walkthrough, we fix it before we load the truck. That is the whole policy.

Floors covered, furniture moved and wrapped, rooms sealed off. Hardware comes off rather than getting taped around.
Preparation is not optional
Filling, sanding, caulking and priming happen on every job, on every surface that needs it, before any finish coat.
We finish the punch list
We walk the job with you in daylight and correct anything you point out before we leave, not on a return visit that never gets scheduled.
